Puerto Calero Holidays
Travel Agent's View...an ideal destination for couples and singles looking for total relaxation and an air of exclusivity.
Puerto Calero is located on the south east coast of Lanzarote, approx. 20 minutes south of the airport.
A select and prestigious resort, Puerto Calero is an ideal destination for couples and singles looking for total relaxation and an air of exclusivity.
The main feature of the resort is Puerto Calero Marina. With over 400 berths and offering sophisticated services, the Marina attracts some of the finest boats and super yachts. If roaming the marina and browsing is not enough, boats and yachts are available for charter, excursions or sport fishing.
There are currently just two hotels in Puerto Calero, both boasting spa facilities. Alternative holiday accommodation is primarily in villas and luxury apartments.
There is a good selection of bars and restaurants in and around the marina, along with an art gallery, supermarket and a number of boutique style shops selling favourite designer labels.
The beach in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote's busiest resort, is a 10 minute drive away, or you could hop on the waterbus from the marina!
Puerto Calero is approx. 11 miles/18km to Lanzarote Airport

...no matter what time of day you visit there is a relaxed upmarket feel the the place...
Puerto Calero although not a resort is a holiday destination in Lanzarote and not surprising since the four and five star hotels there both have fabulous reviews for their accommodation and facilities.
There is a lovely ambience at the marina in Puerto Calero, no matter what time of day you visit there is a relaxed upmarket feel the the place. This whole area was developed by the influential Calero family and they have created something a little bit special.
Along the marina waterfront there is a plethora of restaurants to chose from for a lunch or evening meal with lots of different cuisine - currently British, Chinese, Indian, Spanish, Italian and European menus are displayed. These restaurants all have lovely outside terraces offering sun or shade and a spectacular view whilst dining.
There's more to do apart from eating! Each day tourists arrive from around the island to depart on the various trips offered from this location. Both the Catlanza catamaran trips down to Papagayo and a dive on the yellow submarine are very popular. Additionally there are boats for private charter where you can explore Lanzarote from the coast, one of my hobbies is kayaking with Bjarke from Kayak del Mar who are based from here.
For the sportier visitor there are options to go out sea fishing with Pablo, along the coast are fantastic trails for mountain biking and running. For the less adventurous you can stretch your legs with an hours gentle walk along the coast either into the main resort of Puerto del Carmen or to the sleepy village of Playa Quemada.
Set along and behind the waterfront restaurants there are a number of designer outlet shops with clothing from Armani, Hugo Boss, DKNY as well as shoe, jewellery, perfume and gift shops.
What else can this location offer you might ask? Well it's not short of culture too, there's an art gallery and whale museum as well as traditional and modern events held throughout the year.
Puerto Calero offers something for everyone in a small, beautiful package.
