Within a week of arriving for my first family holiday in Lanzarote, I was astounded to find myself considering a move to live on a tiny island in the Atlantic off the coast of Africa.

We returned back to the UK and put ourselves in the hands of fate, if the house sold we were going! A week later we had a buyer and so the journey began, we resigned from our busy corporate lifestyle in the UK, packed up our life into cardboard boxes and relocated to Lanzarote.

A decade on, the children have spent half of their lives here, our Old English Sheepdog is enjoying her retirement in the sunshine and we all still love the relaxed way of life in Lanzarote.
